Benesova sends Robson back to school

Benesova sends Robson back to school
Bolelli beat Berdych, Nalbandian won, Del Potro won, Federer won, Bondarenko won, Stosur lost, Kirilenko won, Cibulkova won, Wozniacki won, Dementieva won, Pironkova lost, Roddick won, Karlovic lost, Tsonga won, Davy’s sick and Benesova beat Robson.

Brit teen hype WC Robson lost to Benesova in Luxembourg as expected but she did take the first set as Benesova’s serve imploded and then she probably tanked the set. The 14 year old had no answer thereafter as the Czech took control. It appears Robson’s a baseline basher with no B plan to use if things go awry. Still that could describe 80% of tour players... There was drama late in the match when Benesova apparently won the point at Advantage up and the umpire called deuce instead of game. An angry Benesova confronted the umpire and argued for five minutes before smashing her racquet and going on to win the game anyway. Robson aimlessly milled around at the end of the court and didn’t say anything.

Ivanovic and Radwanska have joined Safina in complaining about the 2009 Calender. Ivanovic because she wasn’t consulted and Radwanska because she can’t play in more than 2 Mickey Mouse tournaments that she likes so much. That’s an easy one, just lose a few matches then you’ll be out of the top ten and free to play wherever you want.

Dominika Cibulkova is now going out with Juergen Melzer. Apparently their mixed doubles team at the US Open is an ongoing event.

Wozniacki is playing in Auckland in January.
