New Aussie Jarmila Gajdosova will marry fiancée Sam Groth two days after the Australian Open. The pair will marry in Groth's hometown of Albury. Gajdosova is originally from Slovakia but has lived in Australia for five years. Groth just missed out on a Melbourne Park Wild Card but may receive some Tennis Oz generosity... Gajdosova, who missed some of 2008 through injury, just sneaks in with a ranking of 98. Hopefully she won’t draw Serena in the first round like last year.

Flip admits this is his last comeback. Almost washed up former D-Cup superhero Mark Philippoussis says if his knee goes again that’s it. Oh and he’ll be back playing Davis Cup and Majors again soon. Flip is playing the Aus Open this year but only doubles with the ‘Legends’. Currently he doesn’t have a ranking and is unlikely to get one unless he starts playing real tournaments again. Australia’s Davis Cup team is so ordinary at present that he wouldn’t look out of place and if his knees hold up he’s a beautiful striker of the ball.

12 days of tennis at Foxsports.

Peter Lundgren got a lot of credit for coaching Federer but since then he has coached Baghdatis and Safin without a lot of success. Maybe Fed’s just a great player?

Kimiko Date continues comeback.
