Elena Vesnina loses in qualifying

Elena Vesnina
Justine Henin is to get her own TV show, meanwhile she organized the longest-ever toilet queue to set a new world record – this is what UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors do, it’s not like she did it for fun. Hope she’s not doing reality TV.

Miami draws for men and women.

In qualifying for Miami, winners include Olaru, Pin, Krajicek, Rodionova, Voegele, Radwanska. Groth, Sprem, Kukushkin, Kendrick, Isner, Dent and De Voest. Going home already are Vesnina, Vinci, Larcher De Brito, Karatantcheva, Lapentti, Anderson, Johansson and Mahut.

Elena Vesnina must be ticked off. At 56 in the world she just misses out on the main draw (blame the Williams sisters for actually playing) and is seeded No 1 for qualifying. Then she pulls the wildly unpredictable Krajicek in the draw and now she’s off home already. Last week she was playing doubles with a superstar and everyone was talking about her, now she’s a first round qualifying loser.
