Lleyton Hewitt got a cake

Lleyton HewittIvanovic choked badly to lose to Radwanska – she’ll be the next out of the top ten at this rate. Safina continued to tough it out. All eyes on Venus after her sister’s loss and she started well but ended only scraping home against poor Chakvetadze. Azarenka continues to thwart any notion of a rivalry with Wozniacki, Kuznetsova struggled past a determined Pennetta. Bondarenko the Lesser retired against Jankovic and Schnyder celebrated beating the ‘best player on the world’ by losing to Kanepi – that makes Serena’s loss look even worse (but with such a wonderful head case as Patty it’s hard to read too much into it.)

In Estoril Groth took out the blogging Benesova, Lisicki ended Bovina’s run while Peer and ALG are somehow still in contention. Wickmayer won, Blake is on a clay court streak of one, King Kolya beat Ferrero and Halep won in Bucharest. Djokovic beat Tipsarevic in his family tournament in Belgrade.

Rodionova and Rogowska won in Ipswich.

Mad Damir Dokic update – So what if I hit her? Now you say I can’t threaten diplomats? - What’s that you say, prison?

Lleyton Hewitt got a cake.

Beach tennis?

A Horse Named Chakvetadze.
